Wētā Workshop Unleashed is internationally recognised for excellence in visitor attractions. The 90-minute wildly imaginative film fx experience invites guests of all ages on a thrilling journey through the worlds of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy in the making.

The onsite Wētā Cave retail store is a cavern of creativity in its own right! Guests are greeted by giant trolls on arrival and can purchase all kinds of props, merchandise and collectibles.

As the awesomely approachable face of Unleashed, our hosts welcome guests into the creative world of Wētā Workshop. They use the monsters, robots, fantasy worlds, giants, spaceships and all manner of whacky stuff to inspire and spread a love of creativity to our guests...

The Hosts are also part of our Wētā Cave retail team, selling and processing tickets, and inspiring guests to start a collection of their own by sharing their enthusiasm, in-depth product knowledge, and sales focus, creating a retail experience like no other.

Join us next time we're recruiting

We generally recruit and train new Hosts around June and October, and sometime around school holidays around March/April.

We also have ad-hoc recruitment from time-to-time, and we reach out to people who've submitted expressions of interest first for those roles.

Our crew

We look for people who are keen to share their passion for the world we operate in - movies, visual effects, graphic novels, pop culture etc.

Previous experience in retail/sales, tour guiding or guest services is ideal.
